Seating Plan Operas Paris,France

I'm having trouble locating the seating plan for Garnier and Bastille Opera Houses in paris. Any suggestions.

As far as I know, there isn't one online as I've looked several times--there is only the plan that shows you generally where the different pricing sections are, but not one that shows the specific seat numbers. That one is fairly easy to find within the Opera de Paris web site, but I assume you want specifics. <BR><BR>I don't think you can specify seat numbers, anyway, when you order online, although if you phoned I guess it would be useful. They do have one with seat numbers that they use to show you the seats when you are buying them in person at the box office, which I often do.

I found a diagram of the seating locations with a color coded indication of where the seats are located by price.<BR>I would not call it a seating plan per se because it does not show the exact seat location by seat number, but it does show which part of the theater you would be in for a given price.<BR><BR>You will have to dig to find it, however. I found it by stumbling around after arriving at this location on the web: http://www.opera-de-paris.fr/nav/frame.asp <BR><BR>After you get there, dig down under Prix de places et plan des salles. <BR>There is a diagram for the Opera Garnier and one for the Opera Bastille.<BR>You will have to hunt for it, but it is there.

Thank you Bob and Christina. I get so far but not far enough to see the chart.I will try Bob's info. BTW, I found an old chart from years ago and as you say, no seat numbers just colors and a pricing chart. Well, I'll try again and just have the hotel in Paris buy the tkts and hold them for us. Adieu

It should be the same even if it's from a few years ago as the theaters haven't changed. Here's one ticket web site that has both those seating plans on the same page, which is convenient<BR><BR>http://www.ticket-finders.com/opera_national_de_paris.htm<BR><BR>They don't show the exact ticket prices, but the color coding guideline ranges from 1 for most expensive to 7 for cheapest.

Christina, Thank you. I found the site. I applied the category number and color to a price chart from years ago. Can't find a current price chart. The hotel concierge can help pick a decent location given the category and price. There were times when I had miserable seats, altho the performance was enjoyable. Will be there for Christmas holidays.
