Purchasing museum tickets online in Paris
Is it possible to purchase attraction tickets online from my laptop, if I do not have access to a printer in my rental apartment in Paris ? I would like to be able to have some idea what the weather forecast might be, before ordering tickets. I'm thinking specifically of Versailles and Eiffel Tower. Will they accept a confirmation #, in lieu of a paper ticket ?

Good question, not positive, but I don't think so. the ticket clerks would have to be looking up information, etc., they just want to scan tickets usually. And it isn't that easy to get a ticket online at the last minue for Eiffel Tower, anyway. The ET website specifically says that won't let you in with only a res. number. But if you have it on your smartphone, you can show it to them and they'll accept that But you can't just tell them a number. I presume Versailles is the same way.

There are quite a few computer stores in Paris where you can pay a small fee to get something printed, in case it turns out that only printed tickets are acceptable. But for the Eiffel Tower, I'm afraid you're just going to have to go early and stand in line.

We were able to print tickets to Bateaux Vedettes du Pont-Neuf to save 5 € a ticket at a local shop that was like a UPS store [they had computers you could use, copy machines etc.]. They didn't even charge me to do so.
