Places to Stay In Positano, Florence and Venice
My husband and I are interested in going to Italy in October and would like to visit Positano, Florence and Venice. I would appreciate any suggestions with regard to hotels or inns in these areas. Thank you!

Hi,

I would suggest the Hermitage in Florence. That's where we are booked for this coming April. Have only heard wonderful things about the hotel. Do a search on this site using the hotels name and you will see what I mean. Their web site is located at: www.venere.it/firenze/hermitage/hermitage.html. Good Luck.

Dani

Katherine,

I've never stayed at the Hermitage in Florence but checked it out on my latest trip and have friends who like it a lot. It's very pretty in a great location and with a great roof garden. I also like the Monna Lisa or J & J a lot.

I always feel that if I'm splurging it should be at the end of the trip - so I'm not disappointed with the other hotels that come after. SOOO - if Positano is last, I'd stay at LeSireneuse. If Venice is last, I'd stay at the Europa and Regina or the Gritti Palace.

Have a wonderful time...

Dona

Moderate, clean hotel in Venice is the Al Gambero. We were just there in September and pleased with the hotel. Rooms are small but recently remodeled and bathrooms have also been redone. It is located on Calle dei Fabbri, half way between the Rialto Bridge and St Marks.
