Parking in Amalfi coast towns

We are going to be renting a villa in Priano with our friends from England. It is our second trip to that area of Italy. We are renting a car and plan to visit different towns in the area, will parking be difficult? We are going to one of the Ravello concerts. Any suggestions for parking would be greatly appreciated.

Any other tips that can be offered regarding rental cars in Italy would also be helpful.

There's a public parking lot just below and behind the piazza in Ravello. You follow the signs rather than going up to the main tunnel entrance of the town. You can safely leave your there and you take a ticket as you enter (electric gate) then pay at the machine when you leave. there are steps leading up to the piazza and the concerts are (probably at Villa Rufolo just across from there.

Enjoy! Praiano is a nice place!

In general, parking can be limited but somehow I've always manged to squeeze in somewhere. You need focus and a calm hand-traffic is a bit tight on the coast road, to be sure.

When are you going? We've gone in May and never had any trouble parking - but we're from NYC and used to parking in spots only a couple inches bigger than the car.

If you're going in summer it will be much more difficult. And be sure that you're really good at parking the car (comfortable with it's exact size.)

the Smart per Due is my answer, but if you're more than two, it might not be yours.

Thanks for your responses. We are going in mid September. The car we ordered is not a mini since there is four of us, we are renting the car in Naples, and will each have one piece of luggage and a carryon.

Our English friend is very experienced in driving throughout Europe, but not sure if he ever rented a larger car before and had to park it. Having been to this area before I realize how they drive and that parking appears to be limited, but since we previously relied on public transport, wasn't sure what to expect. Wasn't paying that much attention to parking!
