Paris with New Born!

I am looking for advice on traveling with an 8 week old baby. My wife and I have a free trip to Paris/London through work and we dont want to let it pass, and lo and behold we are pregant! Our options are:

1. Take the baby.
2. Skip the trip.

We have gotten the green light from both my wife's doc and our pedatrician. This is our third child so we aren't exactly new at this, but we are a a little apprehensive. Does anyone have any advice/experieince doing this?

I should also add that we have been to both locations before so we don't have to see everything and can afford a bit more leisure as I am sure the situation would require.

Hey PT,

What can we tell you other than that you will have to plan on being tied to the infant for the whole trip?

PS,
Your wife is pregnant.
The two of you are expecting or expectant.

Best wishes on your new arrival

Thanks for your post Ira. What I was hoping is that there might be some fellow travelers who have experience traveling with a newborn. That type of advice would help us alot

PS When I read the PS in your post I gave a expectant pause, and then thought..WOW.

Hi,

As an older person, I must say, "Skip the trip." It is not a baby vacation type of trip. Paris/London will be there in the years to come. Enjoy your family and congrats!!!

I am an older person and have no personal experience with this sort of trip but cannot imagine ever passing up a trip to Paris and London. I am assuming you are not taking the other 2 children - that might deter me.

Newborns are extremely portable and a lot less bother than slightly older kids. They mostly eat and sleep unless you are unlucky.

Of course it wouldn´t be the same holiday you would have with just the 2 of you but Paris.....and London!
