Paris to Lauterbrunnen - 10min train connection?

Hello all
Is 10min train connection adequate in Strasbourg?

Arrive Paris to Strasbourg on TGV at 12.43pm
Depart Strasbourg to Interlaken on EC at 12.53pm

Also raileurope does not show all trains one can take that bahn.de displays.

Thanks

Info on bahn.de is much more accurate than rail europe in terms of schedules. As long as you can wait and buy tickets on the spot (that is - no overnight trains or major holidays) I would just take a print out of the schedule and buy train tickets a day or so in advance

Why are you going to Lauterbrunnen with a change of trains in Strasbourg? Unless you have some compelling reason to travel that way, such as a business meeting or an important personal rendezvous, I deem it unncessary at best.

In terms of the shortest travel time, Leave Paris East (Gare de l'Est) by TGV at 8:24. Arrive in Basel at
11:50. Change trains for a 12:00 departure to Thun.

Change trains in Thun for Interlaken Ost. Change again for Lauterbrunnen.

Total travel time is 6 hours, 16 minutes.

The change in Basel should be no problem because you arrive on track (Gleis) 8 and your connection leaves on track 9.

In Thun, you arrive on track 2 and leave track 1.

In Interlaken OST !!!! you leave from Track 2, Sektor A which is vital to know. The train divides at a station called Zweilütschinen with part of the train going to Grindelwald and part to Lauterbrunnen.

You will have plenty of time to make your connections because the connecting trains are not far apart.

Your longest walk is in Interlaken Ost and you have 17 minutes in which to do it.

Just make sure that you board a car marked with a hang tag that says Lauterbrunnen. It is a 20 minute ride with 2 stops: Wilderswil and Zweilütschinen.

Thanks for the info.

That came up in Rail Europe which does not give a lot of options.

For second class travel, do I need to book now for September travel or can wait while in Paris and book a day or two in advance?

Thanks

There are <i>major</i> capacity issues on the Eastern TGV, since all the ordered/prepared rolling stock is not into revenue service yet. Book your TGV trip as soon as you can.
