Paris Pass or Museum Pass???
Would like to hear some opinions on whether to buy the Paris Pass or the Museum Pass (probably a two day). Hope to have a hotel near Notre Dame and go to the Lourve, the Orsay, the Rodin, see the gardens of Versailles, take a boat ride (no meal), do the hop aboard bus tour, see Notre Dame, walk to the Arc de Triomphe via the Tuileries and the Champ s Elysees, and enjoy sidewalk cafes and walking along the Seine and over its bridges . Don't plan to climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe or the Towers of Notre Dame. Thanks for any other ideas, too.

Museum pass. We got the Paris Pass. Spend a lot of money, barely used any of the offers. The museum pass will still give you free access to all the museums you were probably planning on visiting anyway (as well as a chance to skip the lines for most of them). Also note that the Paris Pass public transit pass (Paris Visite) only covers zones 1-3 (if you're coming from the airport, or going to the Château de Versailles, you will have to pay 12 euros each way, as these are in Zone 6 and 5 respectively, and are not covered by the Paris Visite 1-3 that you get with the Paris Pass).
But, I would recommend buying the Museum pass and buying a Paris Visite pass for zones 1-6 once you get to the airport. It saves the trouble of buying tickets for further destinations.

Even if it were possible to visit Paris sites 24/7 and you did that for the duration of your stay, you couldn't possibly get your money's worth out of the Paris Pass. It's a total tourist scam. No one can or would want to visit that many sites in such a short time.
The museum pass is definitely worth it if you plan out which museums you want to see on which days and check the individual prices against what you'll be paying for the pass.
