Paris: Marriott timeshare near Disneyland Paris?

Has anyone stayed at the Marriott timeshare near Disneyland Paris? It's about an hour outside of Paris by train - it this too inconvenient? It would cost us much less than a hotel in Paris but I don't know if the travel time would be a problem.

I did not stay there, but I stayed at the timeshare in Vincennes. Easy to get into Paris and Vincennnes is very nice.

We didn't stay there, though we considered it last year when we were in Paris, but decided it was too far out, though if you rent a car, it seemed it would be fun for day trips to smaller cities and villages in the area. You can read lots of reviews about it on tug2.net

If you mean to stay there for a week as a base to see Paris - nope. Not at all convenient. If it were just for a night or two for visiting Disneyland - it would be great.

But being that far from central Paris would be a total pain. Just think about not being able to pop back by the hotel in the middle of the day to drop of shopping, or just for a quick freshen up/rest. And any late nights/seine cruises etc would mean VERY late nights.

I hope you are not considering this for a first trip to Paris. The city is grand and should be wandered through both at night and during the day, which would make trekking from and hour away very inconvenitnet, even if it is a straight shot in by train or by car. There is so much to see and do that being so far out would cramp your style.

I agree with others about not staying there if this is your first time to Paris.

Yes, very inconvenient, and agree it's a very poor choice if it's a first trip to Paris.

How long are you going for and how many days at Mickey's? If the majority of your time is for tourism, I'd stay in Paris.

P.S. Don't rent a car from there to visit Paris.

Thank you all for your feedback. We've decided that it makes more sense to rent an apartment in Paris itself. Does anyone have a great 1 bedroom apt. that you've stayed at in Paris?

there are MANY threads on here already recommending specific flats and rental agencies in Paris. Do a quick search and you'll get lots of suggestions.

What is your budget?
