Paris apartment two choices

We are considering an apartment on either the Rue de Tournon in the 6th or Avenue Segur in the 7th. We have never been to Paris before. My wife and I will be with two older teens. We have received lots of advice on which is best and want one last review before we actually book. We want to visit all the attractions, and also experience Paris. We will be there in mid-September for six days. Thanks for any tips.

Hi

My wife and I went to Paris in April this year. I have posted a trip report with some pictures and links on my homepage http://gardkarlsen.com/Paris_France.htm . Maybe you can find some useful information there You have something to look forward too...Paris is a great city.

Regards

Oh go with the Tournon one! Both are lovely areas, but the 6th will have more attractions and fun stuff for the teens. Sulpice is my favorie area in Paris practically. Segur is much quieter (and slightly further from the Louvre, Iles, and central sites).
Have fun!

Hi

Yes another vote for the 6th. I stayed at the 7th - it was fine but a metro ride away from the attractions (except the Eiffel). In this forum the 6th gets alot of votes so I'll stay there next time.

We ended up staying on Rue de Tournon and were glad we did. The area was great as was the apartment. We were close to many great cafes, restaurants, shops, attractions, etc. and had a real feel for Paris. The bus was across the street and the metro a two minute walk. Advice on forum was helpful.

THanks for posting the follow-up. Any chances of a trip report when you've got your breath back?
