Paris airport shuttle - specifically for Ira
Ira, if you see this, I have been searching the forum for Paris airport shuttle recommendations and see that you have mentioned:
www.beeshuttle.com
www.paris-blue-airport-shuttle.fr/index_en.php
www.parishuttle.com
I take it that you have used all three of these successfully? We only need the shuttle coming from CDG into Paris. Would you recommend one over another, or do you consider them all pretty much equal?
I was also considering taking a taxi, but we (2 people) would be arriving between 6 and 7 a.m. on a weekday, and I think by the time we cleared passport control and got our luggage, we'd be right in the midst of rush hour, and traffic could make the taxi pretty expensive.
Thanks for your help, and also for any input anyone else would care to offer.

We used a shuttle on 12 October from the Latin Quarter to CDG. Cost was 45 Euros for two people. Can't remember the company name, but I think I read that the Paris Shuttle charges 40 Euros for the same service.

Hi N,
I've used all three.
I think that Blue van is marginally better.
In all cases, if the driver tells you that he can't take a CC and must have cash, tell him to call the office.
Some drivers try to make a few extra euro by taking cash and telling the boss that you were a no-show.
Enjoy your visit.

Hi, Ira,
Thanks for the info — I value your opinion, since I’ve been so pleased with your previous Paris advice. We were really happy in the Bonaparte on our last trip! (This next time, however, we are renting an apartment in the 6th since we will be there for a week.)
So following you and Namaka, I will definitely go with Blue Van.

I would most definitely recommend paris shuttle! We were late getting to the airport--not because of them, but because of 2 pain in the arse American women who didn't think that anybody's time was as valuable as their's! Thankfully our driver broke every speed limit and got us to the airport as quickly as possible and noone missed their flight. We were amazed to find out after we returned home that they credited us for that trip as well as for the incoming one. We hadn't even complained--now I call that customer service!

Tho I'm not Ira, I just booked with Blue Van at www.paris-blue-airport-shuttle.fr for a RT transfer from CDG to an apt. in the 3rd, total cost, paid online with my credit card was 58 Euros for 2 persons. We too arrive and depart during the week and in rush hour so thus the shuttle. I've used Blue Van (Bluvan) several times and have always been pleased.

I'm no expert on the relative merits of CDG shuttles, but we used Airport Nice Shuttle, Tel: 48 73 4000, from our hotel in the 5th to CDG on the morning of the 18th. I had planned on using the RER, but the transit strike put paid to that idea. We were quite anxious that we might have to take the last RER to the airport in the evening, and sleep there until our flight.
Our hotel clerk said we had probably booked the last two shuttle places in Paris for that morning, and we were a bit worried about him showing up, due to the traffic. In the event, he was within moments of the appointed time, the 8 passenger van was new and clean, and the driver got us to CDG safely, and on time.
The cost was €17 per passenger.
Enjoy Paris!
P.S. Ira, Our apartment was close to the #47 bus that goes down rue Monge, so I stopped and looked at the Hotel Monge. It looks as inviting as you have made it sound.

Make sure that you find out what you need to do AHEAD of time before looking for your shuttle. I had been informed by a rep. at a travel website that I could take a shuttle to Paris. Imagine my surprise when I got to the airport and learned that I was out of luck. There was no way to contact a shuttle company. I had to lug my suitcase over the turnstyle (left my ticket in the turnstyle, got some assistance from someone on the train to explain to the person collecting tickets why I didn't have mine), down the stairs (thanks to the assisitance of a Parisian), up several escalators and stairs. Thank goodness I know a little French so I could initiate a conversation and thank each kind person who helped me. Quite a story but one I would rather not have! Good luck to you.

Hi guys/gals
Thought you may be interested in the YELLOW VAN SHUTTLE group. Here's their website - $36 for two people CDG to Paris. Check yourself:
