Normandy Beaches Bus Tours--Which Company?

I will be taking a day tour from Paris to the Landing Beaches of Normandy. I have looked into Cityrama and Parisvision, but was curious to see if anyone had ever been on either of these tours. Do you have any feedback?

Thanks!

We did not take a tour, but rented a car and stayed in the countryside for 10 days. The Normandy area was very different than what I had thought. The whole north west coast and all the villages are breath taking. I hope you will be able to get to view the most beautiful parts. In fact as we were driving back towards Paris the hillside was so green and so rolling that my husband and I got off the road, drove up little roads to get to a high point and sat out in the grass just to take it all in. I wish you could see Honfleur or San Malo also. Have a great time.

My husband and I took the ParisVisions day tour to the Normandy landing beaches in late April. We were VERY pleased with the tour. We left Paris from the ParisVisions office near the Louvre about 7:15 am and returned there about 8:30 that evening. There were frequent breaks and no rushing around. We visited the beaches, the museum, the quaint villages along the way, and the American cemetery. Our guide was very informative and interesting. We had a delicious and leisurely French lunch (including wines) in a picturesque farmhouse along the way. We would highly recommend this tour.

I would rent a car and eschew the tour bus. It is cheap & easy to get there - 3 hours tops, plus you can see more of what you want. plus you can stop by Giverny and Les Andelys on the way there.

unless you think you maybe tired driving home the same night, or something. I would make it an overnighter if I could, at least.
