Non-drinking night activities in Barcelona?

Any suggestions for activities to do in Barcelona at night, that doesn’t involve clubbing and drinking? =)

Um -

Concerts (local, popular, symphonic), ballet, opera, or just having a lovely dinner and exploring a quaint neighborhood.

A late night dinner/snack and a glass or cup of anything you like at any of the typical and no fuss Barcelona cafes/restaurants that are open until 3-4am.

I like Navia at the edge of vibrant El Born. Here often groups of friends, local workers, police officers etc. come in for a full meal or a late night snack and some talking long after midnight. Many tables with just water, mineral water, and cups of coffee, tea or chocolate into the small hours.

Someone must think all Barcelonans are drunk dancers.

Check Timeout for options. In a city the size of Philadelphia, there are many. There certainly are enough nice areas to visit at night (Montjuic, Rambla de Catalunya, Port Vell, Placa Real . . . )

Same things you do in any city. You could:

walk around and look at the buildings
sit on a bench and people watch
sit in a cafe and have a soft drink or coffee
concert or flamenco
watch/listen to buskers
take a ride on a city bus
eat dinner
la pedrera at night

Same thing you'd do anywhere, nothing special about Barcelona that you couldn't do whatever you'd do at night in some other city.

Dinner is generally eaten so late that if you have an evening activity planned you have to make a special effort to find a place to eat before it.
