Jim, those are just stunning. Great new pics of Paris... I heard there's been ton of rain this summer and of course your photography beautifully captured the rumbling skies and still make it look wonderful.
And the pictures of Cinque Terre just take me there...
Thanks for posting the link. Great stuff.

What a great "eye" you have for composition, etc. Loved the photos. Did you actually take black and white or just convert them via computer? Love B&W, sometimes color can be a distraction from composition. Thanks for sharing.

More great photos...thanks, Jim. Your compositions are always wonderful.
Ah Vernazza, such an incredibly picturesque town. I especially love the way that orange building facing the harborside piazza glows in the late afternoon sun.

I see on the board from time to time people refer to things they have seen as jawdropping. To me these photos are absolutely jawdropping.
Thank you very much. My absolute favorite is the Consulat in Monmartre.

Wow...Thanks for the great responses. I'm glad you all enjoyed the photos.
It helps that so many of you have been to the same locations. I know I enjoy looking at other people's pictures and saying, "hey, I've been there."
To Palette: all of the photos were shot in color...that's the only mode digital slrs shoot in. They were desaturated in my computer. And you're right, sometimes the color distracts your eye. That's why I converted the ones I did.
Thanks again, folks. I really do appreciate that you take the time to look and respond.
I still have few hundred more shots to go through. So those galleries will probably expand.

Jim, awesome photos! You certainly have a talent with the camera.
Noting that you took the Paris photos I viewed with a Nikon D70, I thought you may have some insights for me. I've been stalking that camera for a few months and now I'm finally ready to make a purchase to upgrade from my current Nikon CoolPix 5000. I miss the flexiblity of a SLR camera. Are you happy with the D70? Any other advice for me?
