Need some help - Venice/Florence/Rome trip

Hi,
I'm planning a trip using trains for the 3 cities - we've been before a few times. I'm also using FF miles . Hoping to get seats around Oct. 12 - 26. My question is weather wise and rain am I better starting in Venice and ending in Rome I know people say don't leave from Venice because of early flights but I've found a 12 noon flight from Venice going home. I'm thinking Venice airport for departure would be better than the hassle in Rome . Just worrying if the end of Oct. becomes flood time in Venice.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Flooding happens I think more in the fall but should not affect transportation to the airport or airport operations.

Leaving from either city is find ,i think it is a little easier from Rome since you can take an airport shuttle and not have to worry about carring your luggage.

I have been there a couple of times when there was water in Oct but didnt seem to be a problem.

I would start in Venice as I think it gets more rain/fog/dampness in later fall.

Your airline FF options will dictate--start there.

Floodings can occur all year round in Venice - and they're no problem at all. You just stay home for two or three hours, and that's it. Certainly no reason to avoid Venice, less so in October (the season of more frequent floodings starts later, mostly in December).
