Names of car rental agencies in France?

Looking at renting a car next month and want to look at as many companies as possible. I would love a list of companies to look at the we can rent at or near CDG and hopefully return to Orly airport or close to it but we understand that we may need to drop it off at CDG. Thanks you for any suggestions.

AutoEurope is a broker that will match any price you might be able to get from an individual agency. Search them.

I use Autoeurope or Kemwell, I don't care what company it is. It has always turned out to be Europcar, though.

There isn't any reason at all why you would need to return it to CDG.

Note that you may not get the best deal from any particular company - as prices for each may differ depending on size and if you want an automatic transmission or can drive a manual. So decide that before you start pricing.

When renting from AutoEurope, you may get a Hertz,Avis,Europcar when you pick up the car. Do as NYtraveler says, and know whether you can drive a manual.

I rented a car from Sixt in France for 10 days recently. I picked it up from near the Arc de Triomphe and dropped it at CDG. It included unlimited miles and no charge to drop elsewhere from the pickup location.

The reason I chose Sixt this time (having used AutoEurope and EconomyCarRentals in the past) was that I liked their selection of cars better in the class I was interested in. My luck was in as I ended up with an Alfa Romeo that was a great car to drive. Total cost for 10 days was 255 euros.

AutoEurope is one of the best consolidators. A good thing to know is that every AutoEurope site has different rates, but you can use any of the sites legally without living in the country (.fr .be .de .es -- etc.). You always get a better rate by NOT booking on the site located in the country where you want to rent, so in this case you would not want to use www.autoeurope.fr . It is also good to know that once you have a quote from AutoEurope, any of the major rental companies will match the rate for the same company if you call them. That is particularly useful if you are getting points or some other advantage by using a certain company.
