Don't know the area you are looking in, but we stayed at the Hotel Uhland 3 years ago and it was a wonderful place. Good breakfast, soft featherbeds. Our room had a little terrace and it was in a nice residential section about 5 blocks from the train and walkable to everything. They are on the net.

Denise

We're booked for two nights at Pension Seibel near the Viktualienmarkt in September after reading good things about this place. They have a website at www.seibel-hotel-munich.de .

Has anyone stayed at Pension Seibel that can confirm it's close to the V-markt and a pleasant accomodation?

I stayed at the Pension Seibel in August 1999 and it was a nice place to stay. The rooms were pleasant and the breakfast was great. The entrance is in between two shoe stores and it is about a block from the Viktualienmarkt. We have reservations there this September, so we hope it'll be a pleasant place to stay once again. I did read a negative post by someone at the Grafitti Wall at www.ricksteves.com, but hopefully that was an isolated incident.
