Memorial Day question about France?

How many Americans died in France in WW 2? How many are buried in the Normandy area?

My grandfather is buried over there. He was 23 years old when he died at Omaha beach.

I read somewhere that not a single American GI is buried in Germany. Interesting. They all are buried in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Great Britain, I suppose. Bless them all. Jinx Hoover
