London to Paris to London (Hotel, Transport and Luggage Problem!!!!!!)

I am going to London but then owing to air ticket arrangement, if I want to go to Paris, I have to leave to Paris later by EuroStar and then back to London to catch the plan home.

If I dont have many luggages, it is ok. Unfortunately I can foresee that I will have at least one BIG shitcase, if not 2!

What could I do to make the trip less hassle? Any places for storage (eg lockers safe?) in London? Or any luggage carriage service at the EuroStar?

Please help........

Also, I have no idea absolutely which hotel to stay in Paris. I am looking at convenient and reasonable price (e.g. about 50-70 Euro per nite for a twin room). Anyone can give me some hints?

MANY MANY THANKS!

Presumably, you mean one big sUitcase, not your unfortunate typo. And you don't explain why you think you will make this serious mistake. Will you be traveling alone? with complicated business, as well as tourism, requiring a lot of clothing changes? the need for a tuxedo?

While the train offers many advantages, flying CAN be just as cheap (usually not as fast, counting transportation to and from airports) - - and it allows you to get help with your luggage at every step: taxi to airport, porters with a cart at the airport, etc.

But the best helpful advice will be to re-examine why your own luggage is so burdensome, and making life difficult for you. A key consideration is almost always to choose luggage that weighs ery little when empty: no more than EIGHT pounds for your "primary" bag (for example, a "rollaboard"&quot, and no more than eight OUNCES for an auxiliary bag (think of a small-medium sized nylon duffel). I have never been constrained by two pieces of luggage in these sizes. ou can take a TON of stuff ("contents&quot and still move it all, under your own power with a minimum of difficulty.

As for Paris lodging, I recommend that you take a look at www.eurocheapo.com - - or for more "handholding", visit www.webscapades.com and consider calling their toll-free reservations service; friendly, knowledgeable English-speaking operators wo can help with price- and/or location-based options.

All of London's major train stations have left luggage storage facilities so you can certainly store some of your luggage at Waterloo while you're in Paris. Visit www.excess-baggage.com for the details. If you're only going to be in Paris for a few days, limit yourself to either a carry-on size suitcase, a duffle bag, or even a daypack and leave the rest of your stuff in London.

Your London hotel is quite likely to agree to your leaving your big bag there while you are in Paris. Otherwise, as TimShas said, left luggage in Waterloo.

To fly with all that stuff would indeed be odd: long walks pushing trolleys.

Thanks a lot for the reply!
And that was a typo (sUitcase) I have made. Sorry!

I didnt know that the hotels in London are nice enough to let me leave the luggages there even after I have checked out! Guess I have not explained clearly that I will head right from train station to airport once I arrive at Waterloo Station.

Btw, is it chaotic if I take the tube from H Airport to my hotel (if the hotel is on the Piccidiaily Line)? If it is, I will simply take a taxi (although I know will cost me at least 40+ pounds).

As for accomodation in Paris and London, is Hotel Monge a convenient hotel in Paris? Also, any good hotel/B&B that is close Charing Cross Tube which is around 30-40 pounds for a single room?

Thanks again guys for the reply!!
