I am going to London in June for 5 nights. Part of the time will be spent at Wimbledon and then we will be touring in London. Looking for a hotel or b and b preferably near a tube stop between the 2. Hoping to keep it under $200. Any suggestions? thanks. DJ

Well-first of all I wouldn't stay 'between' them. Wimbledon is a suburb of London and you'll likely be happier staying in central London - Anywhere along the District tube line.
This place is very near Victoria Station and Sloane Sq, both on the District line. Very clean, well run and well w/i your budget.

thanks, that is the area I was thinking about, either victoria station or south kensington. will check out your suggestion. thanks
I stayed at both the hostel Clink 78 near Kings Cross Station and at the Park International Hotel in Kensington.
I loved the Park International Hotel, I'll be posting about it on my blog this week theblondebackpacker.com if you want to read about it.
There are many websites offering hotels in London that you can choose by area:
www.londontown.com
www.laterooms.com
www.lastminute.com
Other fine hotel websites exist.
'During my last vacation in London, my wife and I stayed at Fraser Suites Kensington apartment hotel. It's right in the middle of Kensington and just off Gloucester Road station. South Kensington station is also nearby. Hope this helps!
