London hotel need opinions now
I'm leaving for London in about a week and I'm currently booked at park plaza county hall, but I'm considering doing a last minute switch to the hart house hotel. Any suggestions? Bad idea?

I stayed at the hart house once and loved walking in Hyde park every morning and the atmosphere plus I thought it was a good area. This is only my second visit so I don't know about the area with the park plaza county hall

I don't know either hotel specifically but I'd prefer the north-of-the-river location, especially if you've stayed there before and enjoyed it. But then I like returning to places I've been comfortable which would be a large part of the equation for me.

You can always check tripadvisor for hotel reviews and traveler pictures. Park Plaza has very good reviews:

Allan109; that's a bit odd, recommending a hotel in Chelsea Harbour, miles away from the nearest tube station, and saying it is close to the Millennium Bridge, Oxford Street and Westfield? Those are all in completely different parts of the city, none of them near Chelsea Harbour.
To the OP: I don't know either hotel, but would prefer the location of the Hart House Hotel.

Hi Sundaymorning,
To me Hyde Park seems a bit off from the center of London (so huge), so I would prefer the Park Plaza County Hall which I stayed at once. Although a poster suggested that you will have a great view, that is only if you have a room facing the Thames and Parliament. In any case, its proximity to the river and so many walkable attractions (not to forget the Eye) make it more appealing to me.
Whatever you decide, you will enjoy London…
