London Fish and Chips

Any reccomendations for authentic fish and chips? Not looking for fancy, just where the locals would go.

You'll probably be able to tell where the locals go by the looks of the place. Pubs also have really good fish and chips. The basic shops have a counter where you order (choosing the type of fish you want) and just a few tables and chairs.

For late night, simply called "Brasserie" at Victoria Station -Very good. It is a cute little place with upstairs & downstairs. Other dishes ordered were also good. Service is slow and it is a little pricier than a pub. In general, a pub would be your best bet & a more authentic experience. We came back into London late, and this was truly the only place in the area serving at 9:30 p.m.

Last time we were in London, we had great fish and chips at The Rock and Sole Plaice. It's near Covent Garden.
