Local opening times

Hey guys,

I'm just about finished with planning my trip to London in October, and I was just wondering if anyone around here knows any good apps or sites with local opening hours? I wanna visit as much as I can (it's my first time in the UK) and it would be useful to know what's open and when.

Thanks!

Also, any good (and by good, I mean cheap) restaurants that you would recommend?

Any idea of how many thousands of restaurants there are in London - yes, thousands.

What do you consider 'cheap' and what sorts of food do you like and which part(s) of town . . .

There are general/standard opening times - and I wouldn't think there is an app that would cover just that.

Most tourist attractions open at either 9:30 or 10AM and close between 5PM and 6PM. (the Tower of London opens at 9AM some days and 10 AM other days) Many museums have one night a week when they are open late -- often til 9PM but it varies.

Or do you mean shops and restaurants?

@janisj, thanks for your answer!

I was mainly looking for a few low key places to eat, something cheap and not too fancy... I'm not really sure about which parts of town I'm going to be in, I'm staying at a friend's house, somewhere in Walthamstow (close to Stratford).
I'm not too picky about food, I usually like takeaways (fast food, pizza etc) but as long as I'm there I'd love to try something traditional.
If you have any recommendations in the area, or even if it's a little further, please help and don't let me wander around aimlessly.

Walthamstow is a great place to visit. It has big music and arts scenes, and you can enjoy it before gentrification is complete.

The problem? It's a long way from most of the traditional tourist sites, so very few of us have been there. It's too far from London for you to go back for dinner, but there is a lively pub scene, I gather, and large Pakistani and African populations if you want to try more exotic food.

The Market on the High Street is more Han half a mile long, so you should have choice there.

While you are out sightseeing, your inexpensive lunch choices include pub food, the ubiquitous sandwich chain Pret a Manger, sandwiches from supermarkets, and Indian and Pakistani places. "Include" does not mean you are limited to these.
