www.sunfrance.com my choice

Carcassonne Hotel de Cite and Arles www.lecalendal.com

2 of my many favs... Do some Costa Brave Vermillion

coast on your way over... Trains lots cheaper but I

have had a great time with renaulteurodrive lease and'

saved a lot over car rental. Have done green spain

colder rainier prefer the vibe and food of the south

of france and spain far more.

Happy Planning!

If you rent a car in one country and drop it in another you'll be hit with multi-hundreds euro fee. When we go from Barcelona to Paris or vice versa, we take a train between BCN and Perpignan, where we either pick up or drop the car. Warning; it can get very congested as you approach the Perpignan station by car, so give yourself lots of time.

Renault Eurodrive not available for 9 days - http://www.renaultusa.com says " If you are over 18, staying in Europe for 21 days or more, and looking for the most flexible way to discover more than 40 European countries, then our program could make your next trip the best ever. "

You will not need a car to visit Barcelona, but it is useful to tour Costa Brava. Spain to France one way rentals are best if you drop Spanish car off at Girona airport and get www.frogbus.com to Perpignan - then rent a French car. Check drop off fees within France - they do exist for some companies.

Coastal traffic can be busy in July/August particularly on the peak weekends - check http://www.bison-fute.equipement.gouv.fr and http://the-languedoc-page.com/phpBB3...hp?f=13&t=3875

Languedoc is quieter and cheaper than Provence. Both are relatively rural, but much of the Cote d'Azur is busier, urban, even more expensive and has air pollution problems.

I think you have to give more info about your interests to get better advice.

Your question is not quite clear.

But, for sure, look into open jaws plane tickets, into Barcelona, out of Marseilles? Nice? Toulouse?

Languedoc is my favourite area of France (thus far) although I am not a great fan of Carcassonne. Some great places in the Languedoc are Banyuls and Sete - beautiful.

We trained from Barcelona to Montpellier to Nice to Paris (we had 2 weeks though so you could cut out Nice and Paris) and really enjoyed it. Montpellier is a nice base for travel.

Flew in to Barcelona and out of Paris. Also, we never drove so others will remind you about higher fees for dropping off car in country different from the one where you initially rented.
