Lake Como on a Sunday
I'm trying to figure out what days to spend in each city of my September 2006 itinerary.
I'll spend 3 nights in Milan and I want to daytrip to Como.
Is it a good idea to go to Lake Como (Como town and Bellagio) on a Sunday or will most of businesses be closed that day?
Has anybody been to Lake Como in late September on a Sunday? What is your advice?

You should go on the day the weather is most clear, and if you get 3 days of good weather, just remember that the weekends is when Italians themselves head to the lakes for outings. So it's quite jammed.
Monday is the more likely closure day, but for businesses catering to tourists in high season (which September still is) the towns have a full range of services all the time.
If you are planning to visit a special shop, you should contact them directly.

Thanks you guys!
I wish I could stay in Bellagio, but Milan is the last city of my itinerary.
If I stayed in Bellagio, not only I would have to wake very early to be at the airport on time, but it would also be very expensive to get to the airport.
I've checked a couple of websites and transfers from Bellagio to Linate Airport are around 110 Euros.
I mainly interested in one store in Como town, and, according to their website, they will be open in September.
However, I also want to visit some other shops, that's why I was wondering whether or not they would be open on Sunday in September.
Thanks again!
