kill the Monday Blues - where would you rather be????
Sitting at my preschool job with screaming and disgustingly messy kids on a Monday! It can be depressing with so many kids who just want to watch meaningless cartoons all day. I try to culture them and show them Rick Steves videos but they just cry for cartoons!
Anyhow I have his video of the romantic road on now and am dreaming of driving along the cute little towns
where are you right now and where do you wish you were?

Ahhh.. it's not actually Monday anymore, but it might as well be... We just returned from a wonderful week + in London. There is so much more to see, of course...I'd like to be there now with my honey; wandering through charming shops; happening on some delightful antique store and picking up some perfect trinkets, stopping for tea and watching passersby...

It's no wonder that our children are so screwed up today. Being thrown in daycare during their formative years and having caregivers who dislike kids and prefer watching tv and sending e-mails rather than caring for them leads to their later problems.

To the last poster: Oh, shut up. I deal all day with corporate executives who sometimes may as well be preschoolers. Leave us alone to have our fun; go play somewhere else.

This week I would rather be just about anywhere else, but Rome is always my first choice, too.

I'm sitting in my office in Seattle -- I'd rather be back in Cannes, staring at the beautiful mediterranean from a cafe while sipping on my morning cafe au lait. I just returned to work yesterday after two weeks in the Riveria and Provence; it's hard to get back to reality . . . lol

In total agreement with the poster who was concerned about our children being left to watch a Barney videos while the child care providers are on the web daydreaming about travel. Go spend some time with the kids and help them learn so that one day they'll be bright enough to gain employment and an income that would allow travel.
