January in Ireland: Recommendations on Lodging?
Hi all. Currently in the process of planning our honeymoon; we'll be traveling to Ireland in mid-January. We'll be making overnight stops in Cork, Galway, Dublin, and a stop in western Ireland (likely Co. Kerry, Limerick, or Clare, see below).
I'd like to stay at a more isolated/scenic lodge/B&B/boutique hotel in the Burren or the Ring of Kerry. (I'd had my eye on Gregan's or The Lake Hotel in Killarney, but my understanding is that they are both closed December - February.)
Seeking recommendations on charming, independently run accommodations in all four areas; would be particularly interested in recommendations for lodges in Co. Kerry, Limerick, or Clare. (Just FYI: looking to spend a moderate amount for most most accommodations but planning on one "splurge" stay.)
