Is it possible to rent a car in Dubrovnik near Old Town?

We're mainly staying in Dubrovnik with day trips to many places, but I'm trying to fit in the Peljesac peninsula. Can someone tell me if there is a car rental place somewhere near old town in Dubrovnik? We don't have a car for the entire trip, so it might be fun to rent one for the day.

Thanks!

We rented just outside of the old town gates. Actually, they brought the car to our hotel. Gulliver car rental.

Dixieland,
We’re dropping off our car outside the old town, next to Hotel Excelsior. I’m sure you can also rent from there.
We’ll probably do the same for a Peljesac Peninsula day trip. God luck.

Thank you for your responses! I think we'll rent a car for the day and make the trip to the Peljesac peninsula, since we'll be able to rent a car somewhere close. Now, I have to do some research to find out where we should go!

Thanks again!

One place you could possibly go would be to Korcula. There is a ferry that runs from the town of Orebic to Korcula town. You could even leave the car in Orebic, and walk on the ferry for the short ride across to Korcula -- spend a few hours and return.

You will love Croatia. Have a great trip!

Hi Dixieland - when I check Autoeurope they show two Dubrovnik locations - one is at the Hilton Imperial, which would be pretty close to Old Town. I don't know where the other location is from the address.
