Hydrofoil to Peterhof from Winter Palace

Does anyone know if the hydrofoil will be running from the Winter Palace to Peterhof this weekend, when I will be visiting St. Petersburg? I have seen conflicting reports that suggests it begins running in late May or in June. I have checked www.russian-cruises.ru, but it doesn't provide a parallel English-language website, like, for instance, the Kirov and the Hermitage.

Thanks, Michael

I would expect that by now the hydofoil would be running, however the opening of the season is dependent on the weather.

Boats run every 30 minutes from 10am, last boat leaves Peterhof around 5pm. Tickets can be purchased at the moured station infront of the Hermitage. Cost is about 600 Rbl each way. You can also go by local tran or various buses. Tours by bus also leave from various stands located on Nevski Pr near Kazan Cathedral.

by globetrottI hope to be able to return to Peterhof in summer 2004 and have searched my guide-books for the lastest opening times of the various attractions in Petergof / ÏETEPÃOÔ The Big Palace of Petergof : Tuesday-Sunday 11.00a.m. - 05.00 p.m. Monplaisir-Palace : Thursday-Tuesday 11.00a.m.-06.00p.m. (closed in winter and bad weather !!!) The Cottage in Alexanderpark : End of May till October 11.00 a.m. - 05.00 p.m. Benois-museum : Tuesday - Sunday 11.00a.m. - 06.00 p.m. Marly - another small castle in the park : Wednesday - Sunday 11.00a.m. - 06.00p.m. You see it might be best to get there between Thursday and Sunday in order not to miss any of the museums.
