How to not have to pack all those different power cables.
I will need to charge my Garmin and my international cell phone while in Eupope. Can anyone recommend a power cord that adapts to different units so I only have to pack one?

I wish there were. I have 4 different cell phones in my house, and they require 3 different chargers. Each time I upgrade for 'free' it seems I need another charger, even for same brand phone.
Don't get me started on laptops either. 4 laptops at home, 2 brands, and 4 chargers. Nothing is universal it seems.

I just bought a device from Radio Shack called "IGo" that supposedly solves this issue. You buy the base part that plugs into the wall (about $30), then you buy little chargers that go on the end depending on the type of cell phone/device you have (I think the charger part was $10). The guy at Radio Shack told me they make the little charger end piece for most phones, so you would buy one base and as many of the tips as you need. Of course, you can only charge one thing at a time, but it definitely cuts down on the tangle of cords!

I second the iGo adapter. I use it all the time for charging my phone and PDA while on the road. The base power brick that I have - the iGo Everywhere is rated 110- 240v so it's perfect for international travel.

I thought I would report back on the dual voltage IGo Anywhere. I got the wall and car units, a splitter and the tips for the phone and Garmin. (Amazing they even had a tip for my old phone.)I made sure they all fit and would actually charge the appliances and they do. Hooray! I already have the plug adapters.
The only downside is that both the phone and the Garmin turned on as soon as I plugged them in, unlike the chargers that came with the units. No big deal, but thought I'd mention it.
It's amazing how much space you save with one of these gizmos.

Yes, the Radio Shack iGo is fine - although I had trouble with mine powering up but not charging devices. Watch the "tips" on these as they are not available for some computers. I've had better luck with the similar device from Targus. Definitely worth the $$ for one of these. I take it everywhere.

I didn't get mine from Radio Shack, I ordered it here:

You can see what tips are offered before you buy it so you know it will work with your phone/gps.
I was afraid of what you mentioned, powering but not charging, so I actually charged both my units to make sure it worked.
I guess I should have mentioned that this is only to be used with mobile devices. They sell a different one (pricier of course) for laptops.
