How to get to Gare Du Nord Station

We will be staying in a apartment in the Bastille area close to Gare Du Lyon. What is the most efficient way to get to Gare Du Nord, at 8:00 AM. with luggage to catch the Eurostar to London?

Thanks

Take the RER from Gare de Lyon to Gare de Nord and then follow signs "Grandes Lignes" to reach the main part of the station where Eurostar trains depart. Direct RER from Gare du Lyon.

It´s a short walk to the taxi stands at Gare de Lyon. The taxis on the east side on the terminal are prearranged but the west side taxis are first come, first served. A taxi will take you for under 10€ from there to Gare du Nord. Luggage in the métro can be awkward.

Besides the RER D which takes about 7 minutes, you also can take bus 65 which would take about 25 minutes.

Bus also lets you off right out front the main entrance to the Gare du Nord Grandes Lignes upper level I believe. It can take a while to naviagate themaze of passageways from the lower level RER/suburban train station to get to the Grandes Lignes and Eurostar departure (far western end of main level station).

Thanks for your replies, StCirq - thanks for the great links. We will probably use the taxi from Gare de Lyon.
