Transfer from Orly to Gare du Nord

We are arriving into Orly and need to transfer promptly to Gare Lyon for TGV to Aix-en-Provence. How best to do this considering all price and time options. thanks.

If you really mean Gare de Lyon, a taxi is probably best. All other options from Orly require multiple steps to get to G.de Lyon.

If you meant Gare du Nord, you could get there with one transfer - take the Orlybus to Denfert Rochereau then the RER-B to Gare du Nord. Otherwise, taxi as suggested above.

Taxis from Orly into Paris don't cost as much as those from CDG since the distance is a good bit less...

By RER: Take OrlyVal people mover to Antony station RER B to Chatelet-Les Halles stop change to RER A to Gare de Lyon - transfer at Chatelet is usually on neighboring platform so is a snap - i'm not saying public transit is your best bet but how it would be done effortlessly enough.

Geez, Pal - what's with the stream of consciousness style?

Buy an Orly-Paris combination ticket for 9,10€
OrlyVal to Antony
RER B to Châtelet-Les Halles
RER A to Gare de Lyon

- or -

Free shuttle to Pont de Rungis
RER C to Gare d'Austerlitz
Walk across river or Bus 24 to Gare de Lyon

robes- the RER C option is cheaper right? And that's an easy walk from Austerlitz over the Pont Charles DeGaulle to Gare de Lyon (but fastest way is to cut thru the Maison RATP office building at ground level).

The RER from Pont de Rungis to Gare d'Austerlitz costs 3,45€. The walk across the river is about 300 yards.

When the Pont Charles DeGaulle was built in the 90s - then the first new bridge over the Seine in a long long time - they put a lane in for a people mover (VAL) to link Gares des Lyon and Austerliz - this never materialized and now the lane is a rarely used bike lane. But it does have a wide pedestrian walkway.

From Orly, Air France only goes to Montparnasse and Invalides.
