Hilton Milan or Marriott Milan?

I am considering booking one of these hotels for my trip. Does anyone have experience with either of these hotels? Thank you!

Stayed at the Hilton a few years ago. nice hotel in their typical fashion. Chief attraction for us was that it was near the railroad station. (There's a bus nearby that goes to the cathedral, etc.)

Hi Melissa<BR>We stayed at the Hilton last year. The hotel is a typical Hilton, clean and comfortable. the staff was a bit unfriendly and the location is a bit far from all the Milan attractions. Don't know about the Marriott. Good luck

We stayed at the Marriott in April and were very disappointed. The room was very hot and &quot;stuffy&quot;, the frig was on the blink and the staff very unresponsive.

Why would you go all the way to Milano and stay in a Hilton or a Marriott? They're so . . . American. There are a number of wonderful hotels in Milan that cater to Americans, but they are basically Italian. Such as the Hotel Del La Ville -- very centrally located, with a great atmosphere and a good restaurant. You don't have to stay at a Hilton to be comfortable.
