Help with Train, Tube, Bus

Hello,

My daughter is arriving at London Heathrow Terminal 3 at 10:45 pm on a Friday. She needs to get to Leicester the fastest and safest way. I thought the train was the fastest but have no idea how to direct her. Can anyone assist?

Grateful Mom

Do you mean the city of Leicester, about 100 miles north of London, or Leicester Square, which is in London and on the Tube?

Fastest way would be to book a car service at www.justairports.com

Other option is the tube which will take about an hour - but its a direct line so no changes required. Just get on at Heathrow and get off at L. Sq.

If Leicester (the city), then there are trains from St Pancras (which is on the same tube line as Leicester Square) just before midnight, and at 1am and 2am.

No idea how long it will be before she's out of immigration and baggage pickup and on her way. The last Piccadilly Line leaves T3 at 2346, arriving at Leicester Sq at 0035, and St Pancras at 0042.

A car service might be the best option - certainly for peace of mind.

Or stay at an airport hotel - free shuttle buses from terminals.

If Leicester then there's a National Express coach at 00:50 most days which gets to Leicester Coach station at 03:25.
