help please: draft itinery trip to andalucia with DD(11&14) in april

Hi

I am planning a trip in Andalucia with my two daughters 11 and 14 years old this april. 10 days, with my husband joining us for a long weekend.

I was thinking something on the lies of:

# flight to malaga, on tuesday the 7/4 and bus straight to granada

# night of 7-8/4 (2 nights) in Granada

# 9/4 day in Granada and bus back to Malaga to meet husband- night in Malaga (1 night)

# on friday the 10/4 drive to Ronda and find a place to go hiking in national park

night in Ronda (1 night)

# on saturday 11/4 drive to Cadiz, sea and beach and sleep in Cadiz (1 night)

# on sunday the 12/4 day back to Malaga , husband catch night flight back to london and we catch a train to Cordoba - night in Cordoba (1 night)

# monday 13/4 day in Cordoba and train to Seville in late afternoon- night in Seville (1 night)

# tuesday 14/4- till thursday the 16/4 in Seville (3 nights)

#friday 17/4 flight back to london

Do I try to pack too much in? Any suggestions most welcomed.

I would love to see Picasso museum in Malaga, is it worth it? How can I fit in, trade off?

I waas hoping I could organise some flamenco and drum class in Seville, some horseriding and cycling too. anything to make the trip fun and memorable

Thanks

Good for you. DW and I enjoyed Spain last October. You can see my report which talks of places you'll visit and other things. Other reports on Fodors will further inform you. Don't need to mention the wonderful sights. Schedule looks OK to me. Yes, do see flamenco which I discovered and kimhe will no doubt chime in with info.

Looks like it should work to me. I trust you have taken Mondays into consideration? Many (but NOT all) places in Spain are closed on Sunday afternoons and all day on Mondays.

Book your tickets -- day AND evening -- for the Alhambra in advance.

Thanks for your support

Panicking a little !! News to close it up soon and need some guidance

Help please

Is it better to book guided tour for Alhambra ? Day and night? Worth doing then both?

Any suggestions on accommodations ? Apartment would be better in Granada and Seville if possible and b&b or hotels for others. Important good locations as with daughter and public transport

Any recommended hike around the itinery (drive Malaga -ronda-Cadiz )

Suggested change of itinery ?

Planning to do
Cycling-kayaking- flamenco /percussion and cookery lessons in Seville
And day trip to donana national park for horse riding or 4x4

Places to watch flamenco avoiding the tourist trap ?but with girls (11-14)

Any help much appreciated
I am running out of time and need start booking

Thanks

Monica

Re: the Alhambra -- no need to take a guided tour unless that's your preference. There is a good audio guide. Yes, go twice -- once during the day, when you have access to the entire place. Then go again that evening for just the Nasrid Palace. There are LOTS of posts on this issue -- se the search feature to find further information.
