Has anyone had experience with standardlondoncitys.com?

Hi! Looking to rent vacation apartment in London. I came across standardlondoncitys.com by using a link from craigs list. Has anyone had experience using them? Their rates are a bit on the low end for some pretty high end apartments and before booking, I would like to investigate a bit further. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Never dealt with them but their website is certainly badly designed.

Their website is certainly hard to read. The prices are almost too good to be true! I loked at the Collingham Garden one and will check it out when I'm in London nextmonth

Never heard of them -- doesn't mean they aren't legit, but I do try to keep on top of rental agencies, new developments. Their registration does say 2000-2009 so they aren't brand new, but they definitely aren't well known.

I don't know how they could rent a 1 bdrm near Gloucester Rd, let alone a 1 bdrm in Hill street (a very posh area) for £294. Also, they supposedly charge the same rates for places near Earls Court and in the middle of Mayfair? Something smells a bit . . .

(I personally avoid Craig's list for London. But that is just me -- maybe you have a higher comfort level)

janisj I am with you on the risk of CL for London vacation apartments. I have successfully used CL in several other cities, but ever London. Too many of the posts are patently fraudulent. A couple years ago they even posed a prominent warning about this on the CL site.
