Greece one week itinerary help
Hi
So I'm going to Greece for a week and the itinerary I initially had in mind was
Landing in Athens on 17th sept then 20th leave Athens for oia santorini...spend two nights there then 22nd to 24th Fira and on 24th depart Greece
Now I also want to fit in a trip to meteora somewhere
My question is should I reduce time from my stay in Athens and make a day trip or overnight trip to meteora
Or take out a day from Fira and do meteora instead
Please help!

The conventional wisdom is to fly on to Santorini upon arrival in Athens airport, then return to Athens for a few days, and fly back from there.
Santorini is a better place to recover from jet lag -- if you're arriving after a long overnight flight. Why 2 nights in Oia and 2 nights in Fira? They're not that different and not that far apart.
Will you have a car? Meteora is only a half-hour drive from Athens. Or you can take a bus tour. But should be easily do-able in a day.
And don't overlook Athens itself; there's lots to see there.

Save your time in Athens for the end of your trip so you aren't stressing about returning to the mainland at the last minute for your flight home. It's rare, but cancellations, delays and mechanical breakdowns do happen from time to time.
