Greece, Crete, Amsterdam in Oct.

I am planning a trip to Greece in Oct. - a small island, Agistri - has anyone heard or been there? Any suggestions of islands near by or day adventures while on Agistri?
Following that, the plan is to go to Crete, where fortunately I have a friend - and am also grateful for suggestions.
The biggest question is: what is the best way to get from Athens to Amsterdam? I looked on whichbudget.com - and I don't read that language.
Thank you so much for all the excellent information you all share on this site.

aspir4more,

It looks like TRANSAVIA, a budget carrier, flies between Athens and Amsterdam.

Where are you going in Crete? We were just in Chania, and I'd be happy to post suggestions if you're headed there.

When in Crete a lovely place to stay is Almerida in the Chania area, it is getting a little busier but should be quiet at that time of year,it has a great beach and lovely tavernas which are all family run. At the other end of the island Elounda is lovely but very expensive if you stay inone of the fancy hotels there, it does however give you great access to Plaka and Spinalonga which was the old Greek Leper Colony which is well worth a visit.

Wedles is correct, however according to www.skyscanner.net the flights are not necessarily daily.

thank you so very much for your responses. I will be near Chania - and I understand it is spelled many different ways.
I also checked out the sites to get from Greece to Amsterdam - and unfortunately, from Chania to Amsterdam isn't a route - I need to check out if the cost would be better to go to England and then Amsterdam - I am traveling on a budget - I'd rather spend my funds on entertainment. Speaking of which - suggestions on EVERYTHING in Crete, Amsterdam - and there is a possibility of being in Athens for 1 - 2 nights - where to stay, what to do.
Thank you so very much. I so appreciate the opportunity to hear from others.
Wishing you much joy and peace always.

Did you try Heraklion, Crete to Amsterdam? Heraklion is a much bigger city than Crete, and may offer more flights. Not sure if you can fly from there to Amsterdam or not. You may have to backtrack to Athens first.

Transavia definitely flies between amsterdam and Heraklion. You can check the schedule at www.transavia.com. Transavia's website is translated into multiple different languages, so it should be easy for you to use.

PS: Agistri is an island located very close to Athens. There are lots of places to go from Agistri, including Hydra, Poros, and Epidavros.
