Filming location?

Okay...this is the fourth time I've posted this message...could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I see it posted but when I go back later in the day to see if anyone has responded, it's GONE!! I know that the "Passion of Christ" was filmed in Italy, but cannot remember the name of the village. Does anyone know the answer? Thank you, in advance. for your help. Mary

Here is one of your earlier threads, with replies.

Your posts are not "gone," merely pushed past the first 50, and thus not on the first page of the forum. You can scroll to the next page, or better yet, log in here and then click on your username in the upper left corner, which will pull up all your posts.

If you will just click on your name, you will come up with all your previous posts! They're all there. Remember that a lot of other people are posting between your contributions and therefore your threads may be quite a ways down the list.

Yes, Matera was the town used to stand in for Israel. MSBNC's web site has a good article about it:

Here's my answer from one of the opther threads asking the same question:

It's not a "village." It's a city: Matera. Matera is one of the two provincial capitals in the region of Basilicata. The movie, which I have not seen, was filmed in the sassi.

Mary, while you are learning the system, it would also work better for you (and the rest of us), if you include a bit more info in the subject. For example "Passion of Christ filming location."

Enjoy!

mcmrjm, this is an unfortunate result of the european forum being very busy.
Its important to remember that you will be down to 50 within a few hours.
