Driving from Barcelona to San Sebastian

We would like to spend one night somewhere, on our drive from Barcelona to San Sebastian. Any recommendations? We have thought of Zaragoza. Zaragoza seems centrally located, but we prefer smaller towns. Thanks!

There are a number of great places to overnight, it will depend on what you're looking for. For great food and wine, you can stop in Pamplona, Tafalla, Tudela or Logroño.

If you are spending one night it does not really matter too much as you will have little time to do any meaningful exploreation.

Perhaps Torla, a very nice and picturesque little village halfways to San Sebastián: http://www.uniquespain.com/torla.html

Some fine small hotels here and also a handful of good restaurants: http://www.booking.com/city/es/torla.en-gb.html

El Duende is an affordable Michelin guide restaurant right in tiny Torla: https://www.viamichelin.com/web/Rest...e-223852-41102

We have been in both Pamplona and Logrono and enjoyed them both. Since you could easily do a day trip from San Sebastian to Pamplona, I'd suggest you do the overnight in Logrono. We've stayed several times there in the Marques de Vallego hotel, which has reasonably priced nice rooms and is very centrally located. Parking in nearby underground city garage.
