Denmark or Finland?
My husband and I are travelling next September to Scandinavia. As we'll have about 20 days and we don´t like to spend less than 5 days in each city, we would like to know which of these two countries is more interesting to visit. We are travelling with our kids (not that young, 27 and 20). We like art, museums as much as nature.
We intend to visit:
Stokholm,
Oslo
Bergen
and....?
Please, any suggestion will be more than welcome as we are totally lost!
THank's everybodu!

I vote for Helsinki. It is an interesting city. Also, you can take a day trip by fast ferry to Tallinn Estonia and visit the old town there.
You could also take a train to St Petersburg Russia from Helsinki if that was something you wanted to do - you do need a visa.
I think 5 days in Bergen and Oslo may be too many days. I would think 3 or maybe 4 days would be enough for each city.
You can take the Norway in a Nutshell trip between Bergen and Oslo.
20 days/nights -
Arrive in Oslo and stay there 4 nights.
Norway in a Nutshell to Bergen (you could stay overnight on the fjord) - stay 4 nights in Bergen
Fly to Stockholm from Bergen
OR
Reverse it and arrive in Bergen and take the train from Oslo to STockholm. Stay 4 nights in Stockholm and then take the overnight ferry to Helsinki - they have a fabulous buffet dinner and yhe view of the islands is fantastic.
Stay 5 nights in Helsinki.
If you cut down 1 night from each city you could do a 4 day train trip to St Petersburg. The Hermitage is a wonderful museum. I know you said you didn't want to stay less than 5 nights in a city but the Scandanavian cities aren't that large as say Paris, Rome and London.
3 nights Bergen
4 nights Oslo
4 nights Stockholm
1 night ferry to helsinki
4 nights Helsinki
4 nights St Petersburg - fly home from St Petersburg

IMHO Copenhagen has way more to see and do than Helsinki - even just in the city itself - never mind the variety of day trips to Roskilde, various castles etc. Yu can easily spend 5 or 6 days there. In Helsinki we were done at the end of 2 days.

nytraveler - it is funny how some of us like one city or another. Have been to Helsinki twice and found so much to do. 2 days wouldn't be long enough for me if we went back again. Have been in Copenhagen and will be there again for a couple of days in September.
