Croatia weather

I am contemplating a trip to Crotia in May or June. What kind of weather might I expect then? A lot of travellers on this site seem to recommend September.

I visited last year in the first week of May. (Previously I visited the first week of October.) Weather was OK - I was worried about rain but I think it rained only once or twice. My biggest disappointment was that I saw the sun set into the Adriatic - beautiful memory from my October 2009 visit - only once, barely. Many days were a bit cloudy with some sun but too cloudy to see a perfect sunset.

I suspect if you check weather history (e.g. Weather Underground website), September is less likely to get rain than May or June.

It kind of depends on where in Croatia you will be. May is pretty unpredictable. You might have sun and glorious skies or you might have cold and rain. Or both in a short period.

I have a lot less experience in Croatia in June and September but when I have been there in those months, it was hot and humid in June and almost perfect (warm and not too humid) in mid to late September.

Early June 2015 was beautiful - sunny, warm, wonderfully warm seawater. But they said the weeks before it had been cool and raining.

I visited in the 2nd half of May and into June of 2009 -- perfect! BUT, as everyone is saying, it depends on where, exactly, you go and (of course) on your luck of the draw. Any decent guidebook should give you some basic climate data, or you can check here:
