Crete to Sifnos by Ferry?
Hi- My wife and I will be in Crete for six nights, and then we are looking to travel to Sifnos by Ferry out of Heraklio. Any suggestions on how to do this? Should we go directly from Crete to Milos? And then to Sifnos? The ferry schedules are confusing! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Without knowing when you are travelling it is difficult to make any suggestions. The Crete to Milos ferry runs year round as part of a much larger route, but is only once per week (Sundays). You can look up connections between Milos and Sifnos on gtp.gr.
If you are travelling before the end of September you can make a daily connection via Santorini. This would involve a catamaran from Heraklion to Santorini in the morning, then another catamaran (Superjet) from Santorini to Sifnos in the evening.

Thank you so much for the help and suggestions! We will be going from Heraklion to Sifnos hopefully on the 16th, which is a Sunday. The only ferry to Milos that I could find is one that departs at 5:30PM from Heraklion and arrives Milos at 3:50am, I think.

That's the one — Prevelis. You would then have to wait until 12:45 pm to catch Speedrunner III from Milos to Sifnos. If you are travelling on a Sunday anyway, that would be a better choice than going through Santorini, IMO. The Santorini route would depend upon two catamarans, more expensive and prone to a rough ride or cancellation in bad weather. Prevelis is a huge old car ferry — I've never used it myself but have heard lots of good feedback on it. You will even save one night's hotel bill, and who can argue with that? ;-)
