Como train station and Market

Does anyone know if the train station in Como is anywhere close to the Market they have on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays? We will have a car and may need to pick people up at the train station.

The station is walking distance from the market, maybe 10 -15 minutes - you can find parking near the station if you need to collect travellers and their luggage.

Train Station far away from the lake so follow signs to ferrovia

You sort of have to weave your way through the city to get

there but you will see it on your right as you come up from lake

there are two train stations in Como - Trenitalia's mainline station, about a mile or so from the town center and market area and the Nord de MIlano (sp?) commuter train station with stops very near the town center but to pick up folks have them go to the terminus station, right opposte the Lake Como boat docks where there should be ample waiting room and parking.

so depends on which station you are talking about.

Actually, there are four stations in Como, but it's likely you'll be meeting your friends at Como Nord Lago (about 100 m. from the ferry dock) or Como San Giovanni at Piazza San Gottardo which is perhaps 2 km. from the lake.
