Comments on Apt Location in Madrid

We have been to Madrid several times in the past and was looking to stay in a bit of a different lcation for our upcoming stay. One of the apts I like is at Calle de las huertas corner with Costanilla de los desamparados. Anyone have comments on that location? Thanks

Is there a tram line on Calle de las Huertas? Will it add to the noise factor?

It's not my favorite location, but fine for walking around and close to Mercado Antón Martín. There are a couple of late night clubs down the street, so you can expect it to be busy and noisy until very early in the morning on the weekends.

I will check on the tram. Nightclubs are not great! Any neighborhoods you recommend?

The apartment is close to the Antón Martín metro station, a couple of minutes walk.

As far as other neighborhoods, it will depend on your budget and type of accommodation. Take a look at Maribel's Guide to Madrid for a description of the cities different neighborhoods - Madrid Neighborhoods - Page 12.

Appears to be a tram running down the Calle.
Here's another location Calle de Moratin, 11. It's quite near the other one I first posted about.
