Car Service, CDG to Paris hotel.

I'm researching car services CDG-to-Paris, and I appreciate first-hand experience. My flight arrives on a Thursday morning at 8 AM. A lot of the car service posts on travel boards are old. I'll need some help with my luggage, so I prefer a service where the driver meets me near the baggage claim exit. Shuttle Inter gets mentioned a lot, and their one-way price is equal to the taxi flat rate. Does anyone else have an affordable favorite? I don't require a fancy car. Thank you.

That post is spam. Take a taxi. There is a fixed rate of 50 euros to the right bank and 55 euros to the left bank for taxis.

I assume that you will be pushing your luggage out of the baggage claim area on one of the free carts. Do you have a medical condition that prevents you from pushing the cart an additional 20 meters to the taxi stand?

I would just take a taxi also but the OP doesn't want to move his own luggage, it's his choice. Maybe he doesn't know that it isn't that far from the baggage claim to the taxi curb. Some people really do want that, there was some woman who used to promote Shuttle Intur all the time on here because she couldn't handle going out to the curb and felt "comforted" that someone was there with her name on a sign. And she had no physical issues and wasn't that old, as I recall. Me, I don't care in the slightest and actually don't want that. But I don't care about moving my own luggage.

This is the guy wanting a cheap hotel room to do business in.

FYI, this is the company that woman liked
http://www.shuttle-inter.com/

They have had to compete with the lowered taxi fares so they've lowered their fees also to the same fare. And they will meet you. Nothing to lose i fthey don't show up, you could then go to the taxi queue.

FYI they and no one else can go inside the baggage claim area to meet you, so they will meet you just after you get outside that, which is really only a few meters from the taxi queue. But nothing to lose by booking them if you don't prepay.

@Christina
You seem to write a lot, assume as much, and then pass judgement without knowing facts or the person to whom you're addressing. Are you here to help or is throwing snark your thing?

IMO, 200-Euro-a-night is not a "cheap" hotel room for a single traveler in the month of July. Most folks on this board are looking to spend less that $100-a-night. As for "business," I'm a self-employed artist. I don't conduct business where the typical suits gather, and I don't have their expense account. If you don't like my limits, that's too bad. You can report me to my hotel manager the next time your room is adjacent to mine.

>>Take a taxi.<<
Thank you, but that's not the question asked in this thread.

G7Taxis provides a "meet and greet service", will help with your luggage and will monitor any wait time, if needed. They will meet you just outside the Customs exit, in a designated waiting area.

Just call or reserve on their website in English.
There is an additional fee for this convenience, but I've used this company with clients, who were delighted with the service.

I would not recommend pre-paying for any other shuttle service, because many times they are late or simply don't show up due to any number of problems.

CDG has free luggage charts at baggage claim which you can use to easily roll your luggage past customs and to taxi pickup which is always near baggage claim.

Taxis have a flat rate into Paris, access to bus lanes for expedited travel times and will get you to your hotel faster than any other service.

Other types of services cannot park at the terminal exits as taxis can so expect a walk you use other than a taxi.

The OP has already stated that he would prefer a car service instead of a pushing a luggage cart to the taxi stand.

Shuttle-inter did not show up for us on time, and we had to call them to come at all. This was some years ago, and the taxi rates weren't comparable. I also had broken feet which swayed my thoughts toward the booking. Otherwise, we take the RER.

The airport personnel can assist you through the airport. This might help if they could escort you from the plane to a taxi.

The problem may be, and I'm guessing here since the OP has not said there are mobility issues involved that, as an artist, he may have too much baggage to move by himself.
