Car Rentals in Florence
Hi
We would like to rent a car in Florence and return it in Siena. Could any one suggest cheap and reliable car rental companies close to the Florence historic center (this is where we will be staying)? I looked around in Hertz/Avis etc but the rental prices in Sept seem to be hefty (~$100/day for a compact car).

Hi Putti;
I just this week rented a car, picking up in Venice and dropping off in Rome for $460 CDN for 8 days, Sept17 - 25. I used autoeurope.com as they were the cheapest I could find and seem to get good reviews on this site.

Some other choices include www.itscarshotels.com or www.kemwel.com
And I still make a habit to "browse" available rates on travelocity for the unexpected promotion.

How long do you expect to take getting from Florence to Siena?
One-day rentals are quite expensive.
The SITA bus costs 6.5E and takes 1 hr. Luggage is stored under the passenger compartment.
