Bratislava is in Slovakia!!!

Following the sites recommendation of offering a travel advice, I am offering this advice to Fodor's site: Bratislava is capital of Slovakia, so the link from pop-up menu Fodors.com homepage "Bratislava" going to country site "Slovenia" is a bit misleading . <BR>

I'll be in Bratislava for a week in October for a business meeting. Any suggestions as to sights or activities to look for or avoid?

Terry, I lived in Bratislava for 7 months in 1999. Not a whole lot there. There is a small old town where there are restaurants and a few museums. Most expats are at the Irish Bar but so are the mafia guys. The castle is worth a walk up to from the old town. Vienna is about an hour a way and can be reached easily by train or car. Budapest is about 2 hours and Prague under 4.

Bratislava is a nice small town with enough sights for about a day and a half if you are lucky. Since Vienna is just an hour train ride away, spend your time there. The checking in/out for customs is not that long and I think it is about $9 ticket. Prague may be a little far but Budapest would be worth several days at the beginning/end of your trip.
