Birthday Anniversary in Paris
Good afternoon to anyone!
I was thinking of celebrating in Paris my birthday, with my lovey husband! I always wanted to be there, one of the most romantic cities of Europe. Is it sae now?? The truth is that I am afraid... Also, I was wondering if 3 nights are enough! Should we spend more days??
Please, tell me your experience, the most recent if it's possible!!!
Thanks in advance,
Evi

Have no idea what you mean by "is it safe now?" Is it safe now where you live? It's not like Paris is Aleppo. Why are you afraid, and what could anyone possibly tell you that would make you less afraid?
Three nights is hardly any time at all. You could easily spend a week in Paris and barely get to know it. Is this part of a longer trip to Europe?

yes, it's safe now, as much as it can be or other major European capitals. In fact, they have definitely beefed up various security measures due to the terrorist attacks of the past few years, so it is safer now than before.
I presume that's what you are talking about, if not, what?

People say I should not write when I have nothing to say.
So I am writing to say that I listen to these people saying that I should not write to say nothing.
I will therefore not comment on the 'is it safe now'.
I am actually writing because I didn't see that comment and I wanted to tell OP what a good idea it was to go to Paris for birthdays.
I am on the way to becoming a good poster who doesn't post when he is disappointed to read for the umptenth time the same question.
We would say 'une ritournelle'.

And I learnt that ritournelle comes from the music.
Comme quoi, on en apprend tous les jours, même dans sa propre langue maternelle.
Sur ce, I am going to risk my life going to Paris Gare du Nord, fight off the beggars there, try to not be scammed nor pickpocketed nor raped. But it is ok, I have my chainmail on, must find my helmet and my double handsword.
No small task, but by Odin I will make it !

Paris is just as safe as any major city. If you are truly afraid, stay at home, though no guarantees your home is any safer than Paris is.
Three nights is just two full days. Enough for Paris? Not in my opinion. If you want some experience of Paris, spend a week.

I spent my 50th birthday in Paris with my husband, because we figured, I was going to turn 50 anywhere so it may as well be someplace wonderful. We've been back four times (maybe 5?) since then. If you are flying from the US or Canada, I'd say stay at least 4 nights if your time is limited. A week would be ideal. But the first night, you will be recovering from a strange day and somewhat time-challenged. You should be fine the 2nd night. If you are only there 3 nights, it is likely you won't have much time on your last day, other than breakfast and get to the airport. So THAT is why I think the minimum would be to stay 4 nights, because that will give you three FULL days.

Hello!
thank you all about your replies. Maybe the most of you were right, I was overeacting about safety!!! And think that I live in Greece!! The bad thing is that we are cool with everything in our daily reality, but we hesitate for anything that we do not know!
I am pretty sure that even if we had one week to spend, that would not be enough again! But, I will check for more nights. You only go once (hope not!)
