Best tours in Rome?
We are in Rome in May and are wanting to use our 4 days there wisely. Any suggestions for tours you've used?
We are 6 adults and 1 child. Want to do the Colisseum and the Vatican, open to other ideas.
Thanks!

I can help with this one....you need to see the Colisseum, the Forum and Palatine hill. This can be done as a single tour, the one we did included an underground tour of the Colisseum, amazing to here the stories of the Gladiators and you were allowed access to the arena floor which gives a different perspective to this great structure...the best bit with this tour is that you skip the queues!!!

I can also recommend using the same company to see the Vatican, the Sistene Chapel and St Peters Basilica....this is a great way to see the important bits but best of all if you take the early tour you head straight for the Sistene Chapel before the general public are allowed in, we pretty much had it to ourselves....we returned there at the end of our tour and it was packed! You are left inside the Basilica at the end of the tour so can spend time in there alone.

You can get a map of Rome and walk to the Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and Pantheon easily, whilst revelling in just being in Rome, simply wandering the narrow streets and uncovering treasures that you wouldn't otherwise find.......
