I tried posting this twice yesterday, but for some reason it never showed up so I apologize if 2 more threads like this pop up somewhere.
Anyways,
Going to visit Pisa in the morning and would like to find a nice beach nearby to spend the afternoon with the family. I have a list of the following places but would love some recommendations from the board.
Marina di Massa, Forte de Marmi, Lido di Camaiore, Viareggio, Marina di Pisa, Tirrenia, Castiglioncello, Rosignano Solvay, Vada, and Marina di Cecina
Ideally I am looking for a less busy beach with clubs to rent umbrellas and cots, (good luck on an August day - I know) with parking nearby.

anyone with insights for OP - kybourbon where are you and other Italy gurus?
We went to Forte dei Marmi several years ago, and had a very enjoyable day there at one of the beach clubs. We looked at several beach clubs one day on our way to Lucca, took a card from one and called the night before to book our spot.
I liked the town, it is kind of an upmarket beach town.
I meant to say we chose that town on the recommendation of a lovely woman I met in Rome who goes there every summer from Rome for her holiday.
Raincity girl - do you recall the name of the bagni or beach club? There are so many it is confusing.
